Kenya Car Rental Terms of Service:
Driving License
A valid driving license is required if you are to hire a car in Kenya. A visitor should be more than 30 years and possess a valid driving license for a minimum of 2 years.
You may also have other documents to ease identification process besides the driving license.
Deposit/payments
A certain deposit is required before the car is reserved for you. A deposit of about Kshs. 20,000 maybe required by Credit Card users. The card is normally charged at the end of hiring a car when you are clearing the final price.
Make payments to only accounts our company shares to you. Inquire before you confirm making any payment if the account details you are having are valid and right.
Insurance
4×4 Car Rental Kenya has all its rental cars comprehensively insured. But this doesn’t mean, you start driving the car recklessly while on a road trip in Kenya.
Theft protection
When or not on road, make sure that you do not leave the car unattended. The doors and windows must be locked. The safety of the vehicle is solely dependent on you as soon as you pick up the keys from us.
This is especially for clients on self-drive tours in Kenya. All these tips are intended to ensure maximum safety of the car to avoid it from being stolen.
Self-drive
An agreement shall be signed between the client and Car Rental Kenya company before you start using any of our fleets for self-drive.
Once the keys are handed to you, you solely become responsible for the vehicle and should be driven by the person stated in the agreement or defined additional driver.
A valid driving license is required for anyone who intends to go self-drive in Kenya in our self-drive safari cars.
Charges may arise from extra/additional driver, under age drivers, extra kilometers, fuel, returning a car to location not agreed by the 2 parties – you and our team, failure to observe the traffic regulations.
Cancellation of rental agreement
Car Rental Kenya reserves the right to terminate the service and possess back the car if its terms and conditions have been breached or when the car is damaged or destroyed.
Driver car rental services
Car Rental Kenya offers not only self-drive rental car services but also chauffeur driven car services. The driver rental car services are subject to the terms and conditions.
It is our responsibility to ensure that our drivers are punctual, they drive safely and securely, he or she is responsible for any damages caused to the interiors or exteriors of vehicle he or she drives, the company can change your car or driver any time where need be.
Use of the car
The car should be put to use for the purpose stated NOT for transporting passengers. Drive the car within the stated boundaries or agreed locations, a valid driving license is required to drive our rental cars.
Do not use the car to transport any animal except the guide dogs.
